One Day

One day! You hear the title and start thinking what kind of story it would be, and you know its genre, you know it’s a romantic movie so your wonderment just multiplied by itself and result into a large amount. Is it love of just one day? Is it the story of the day they meet? Or is it such a title which doesn’t satisfy the story? Lots of question will arouse about the title and though I won’t like to ruin the story for you yet there is no harm in mentioning that the title of the movie fully satisfies its story.
Now the point comes that is it worth watching? I’d say it depends upon the viewer. Those who love romantic movie can go if they don’t believe that story should end perfectly, lover and beloved hand in hand walk by on the quest of living happily ever after. Other people with different believe or those who can accept the fate should definitely watch it. Even I’d loved this movie, as a romantic movie lover.
The time line of movie is huge, it starts from 1988 and goes till 2009, and does it surprise you, not one day story. For those who celebrate 15th of July (in any way, birthday or anniversary), wouldn’t miss it. Well, other things about movie are good; Anne Hathaway did justice with her role of Emma Morley, a graduate student, a teacher, an author, a best female friend of a spoiler Dexter Mayhew (Jim Sturgess). Jim did well too, to be in his character. Story starts from 15th July 1988 when both xb and xg got their graduation degree. Both been practically unknown for each other through whole college life but suddenly before living they becomes friend and soon become best friends.
A new unique way of representing story is used in this movie and I find not a single fault in the binding of all broken ropes, credit goes to director LONE SCHERFIG and screen play writer DAVID NICHOLLS. This movie is the adaption of David's novel of same name. I wonder how he has represented it on the piece of paper.
I will give 7 out of 10 to this movie.
